The law of custody, divorce & distribution of marital assets has become so complex that it is almost impossible for a general practitioner to keep up with the changes.
Elliot Samuelson has the experience and intimate knowledge of the law you
need to tackle even the most difficult cases.
I have been intimately involved with the bar associations in the state
of New York throughout my 47 years of practice. I’m the past president
of the Nassau County Family Law Section, I’m the past president
of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers of the New York chapter,
I’m the past president of the American Inns of Court Family Law
Section. For the last 27 years, I’ve been the editor of the Family
Law Review which is the only professional law journal published in the
state of New York. I’ve written four books on matrimonial law, including
a text-book entitled
Matrimonial Motion Practice in New York, I’ve written over 110 professional articles in the field that involves
all issues from custody litigation to valuation of closely held businesses,
licenses, and stock options. I have been a constant student of the law,
and I think all of this has been very helpful in the practice to keep
me abreast of what’s happening out there, and also to pay back to
the legal community and to help younger attorneys who are just getting started.
